In the mid 17th century Wenceslaus Hollar Published a series of engravings portraying the clothing of women in England. He published over two thousand of his drawings. Becaues these were done from life subjects, they show a contempoary view of clothing at the time and are a valuable resource for esearch on clothing at this time.
